USING ARCTALE MUSIC
When you purchase music from ArcTale Music, you receive a perpetual, unlimited royalty-free synchronization license.
In simple terms, this means:
What you CAN do
Once you purchase the license, you may use the music in unlimited audiovisual projects, including:
- films and short films
- YouTube videos and online content
- social media videos
- documentaries
- advertisements and promotional videos
- podcasts and presentations
- video games
- broadcast productions
You may edit, trim, arrange, or loop the music to fit your project.
You can also monetize your content (for example on YouTube or streaming platforms).
You do not need to pay additional sync or master licensing fees after purchasing the license.
What you CANNOT do
The license does not allow you to:
- resell or redistribute the music as standalone audio files
- release the music as part of a soundtrack album
- upload the music to music libraries, sample packs, or audio collections
- claim the music as your own composition
The music must always be used as part of a larger audiovisual project.
Freelancers and client projects
If you are creating content for a client, the final client must obtain their own ArcTale Music license in order to use the music in their project.
Performance royalties
ArcTale Music licenses are royalty-free for synchronization, meaning you do not pay additional fees to use the music in your video.
However, the music may be registered with Performing Rights Organizations (PROs).
If your content is broadcast on television, streaming platforms, or played publicly, the broadcaster or platform may pay performance royalties to the composers through their PRO.
This does not require any payment from you as the license holder directly, unless you are the responsible entity for said broadcast or public performance.
